Security Clearance & Eligibility Guidance

U.S. Government & Defense Eligibility

Due to the nature of our applied research in support of the Department of Defense, U.S. Space Force, and NASA, several engineering tracks require U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

  • Secret / Top Secret / SCI: S2I coordinates clearance sponsorship for applicable positions.
  • ITAR / EAR Compliance: Prototyping and hardware testing strictly adheres to federal export controls.

Unclassified Academic Tracks

S2I maintains distinct unclassified research divisions. We welcome international academic collaborators, visiting faculty, and exchange students for foundational, open-literature computational research, workshop symposiums, and theoretical modeling.
